Electricity is all around us, so we tend to take it for granted. It's a fascinating subject for kids though.
Teaching your children about electricity could be a fun thing to do these holidays. It could be all that is needed to prevent a nasty accident, it could be knowledge that inspires them towards science, or it could lead to a career choice that will always be in demand.

Static electricity is most kids' introduction and it leads nicely into electrical energy and circuitry. There are plenty of safe experiments that you can try like:
* including bending water with static electricity
* separating salt and pepper with a magic spoon
* moving a bubble with a balloon, or
* constructing a classic potato clock.
